Filipinas handicraft is a Manila based company which exports pineapple extracted fabric, also known as "pina"(filipino word for pineapple). This extract is then weaved by hand in a traditional manner, then usually embroidered to give it a more personal and unique touch.
A typical textile for filipino ceremonies, made from natural pineapple fibres. Initiated in the 1600's, during the spanish colonization, it was used to accentuate the body and elegance of the spanish artistocrats.
Completely hand woven and hand embroidered, it has evolved and inserted into the modern times. Bu still conserving the same characteristics and traditions from the past.
