Bafgh Zinc Smelting Company (Private Joint Stock) was founded on 12th of March 1992. The smelter nominal production capacity of special high grade. Zinc ingot (SHG) is about 30, 000 MT / YR.
The smelter is situated at a distance of 45 km off yazd-Bafgh road south-East of Yazd. The site has a total area of about two hundred acres, and the design, technology and installed equipments were purchased from NFC / CHINA.
BZSC is the biggest Iranian producers of Zinc Ingot that considers Zinc sulphide concentrates as it's feed, enabling the company Zinc Ingot (SHG) production.
BZSC nominal production capacity is designed for:
Zinc Ingot (SHG) 30. 000 tons per year
Suphuric Acid 50. 000 tons per year
Cadmium Ingot 53 tons per year
The smelter need 65-81 tons / year raw zinc suphide concentrates with zinc content 52-54 percent.
