Chloride Egypt was established since 1981 as a joint venture between the public company (General Company for batteries) and the British Chloride Group of England.
Since When, Chloride is considered the largest battery manufacturer in the Middle East. With the foreign expertise of Chloride Group Plc., Chloride Egypt managed to produce and market a wide variety of batteries (both automotive and industrial batteries).
Chloride has established a Quality Management System (QMS), which documents and considers each of the requirements, specified by the ISO 9002 Standars since 1996.
Vision and target :
Chloride Egypt committed itself from the first day of operation to provide both national and international markets with high quality products. Customer satisfaction is the main interest of Chloride Egypt and the company cares to win more and more customers everywhere.

Chloride Egypt was one of the first companies in Egypt to introduce a diversified mix of industrial products in Egypt. Chloride succeeded to win many customers for its industrial battery products in a short period of time. The company offers different types of batteries that serve different uses.
- Automotive
Chloride Egypt is a leading company in Egypt in the production of automotive batteries. The company was the first to introduce the polypropylene batteries to the Egyptian market. It also produces hard rubber batteries. Chloride succeeded in the last years to establish a wide network of distributors in most of Egypt's governerates. This wide network of distributors is served and supported with a number of service centers that provide a high level service. Chloride automotive products satisfy the local market needs of high starting energy in addition to a long-life battery. Chloride is always keen to develop upon its products for customer satisfaction. It introduces to the market Chloride Turbo in 8 types that cover 90% of the vehicles in Egypt.
Not only does Chloride answer the needs of the local company but it also exports its products to about 34 countries all over the world like Lebanon, Syria, Kenya, Libya, Ivory Coast…etc. The company answers the needs of the international markets as it does locally. It produces batteries within European standards or as asked by the customer.

Chloride Electric Vehicles:
In the last few years the world was looking for different ways to reduce air pollution caused by car exhausts. As a result, to protect the environment many countries in Europe, America, Japan and Australia have used electric cars instead. Since Chloride Egypt was always a leading company it introduced the first electric vehicle in Egypt to serve the Egyptian needs. Chloride Electric Vehicle is a joint project with the British Chloride Motive Power (CMP).
The new vehicle has many uses:

• In tourist places and resorts
• Inside factories for material handling
• Garbage collecting
• Youth projects
